Who am I?

Hi everyone, I’m Marco.

​

Let me formally introduce myself to you.  
I am a Qualified Personal Trainer with 9+ years of experience and a passion that drives me each and everyday in helping people achieve their goals and living a healthy lifestyle. This passion of mine began as a child playing soccer and always being called the skinny guy. So I took matters into my own hands and started training when I was 15 years old. 

Unfortunately, I pushed myself way to hard for 3 consecutive years which resulted in me being hospitalised with a heart operation at the age of 18. 
This was a turning point for me as I realised that training is not a quick fix for any problem. Training is a way of life -  combined with a healthy eating lifestyle and healthy lifestyle routines is what increases your overall health.

 
My goal in life is to teach and encourage everyone I meet and know that a healthy lifestyle is a lifelong commitment, not your quick fix. 
Exercise shouldn’t be torture, it should be a way of getting to know and understand your body.

“ I was introduced to Marco in October 2021. I was referred to him by a friend of mine and thought I would give it a go. I had never been to a personal trainer before so really didn’t know what to expect. In all honesty, sometimes I thought they just stood there to look pretty. LOL

My fitness goal was to get my chore strength and leg strength up because I was about to embark in my very first 32km run and most of it was hills. Without the strength training I honestly don’t think I would have completed this race as successfully as I did. Since then, I have lost 4kgs, 2cm around the waist and glute area and my chore is the strongest it’s ever been. I went from a BMI of 23 down to 19.

Marco has seen me through my first 42.2km Marathon, my first Ultra Marathon 56km and the final goal was Comrades at 87kms.

All of this would not have been possible without Marco. He has walked this journey with me. Some days were better than others. Some I could just swear at him when he pushed my limits. But by pushing the limits I have reached my ultimate goal of finishing my first Comrades Marathon. Thanks Marco for all you do and have done for me. You are one in a million. “
